Easton Real Estate ownership.

Easton Real Estate   Welcome to Easton, Massachusetts! Easton is approximately 29 square miles in size, with an estimated population of 26,000. It is located 25 miles South of Boston, approx 30 miles North of Providence RI, and 30 minutes to Cape Cod.

Easton is located in Bristol County, Massachusetts and it's run by Open Town Meeting, a 5-member Board of Selectmen and a full-time Town Administrator. Easton is easily accessible to Boston by the Commuter Rail from 4 neighboring towns - Brockton, Stoughton, Mansfield and Bridgewater. In 2000, Easton celebrated it's 275th anniversary.

Easton was originally an industrial town, with Sawmills, Iron Forges, and the history-making Ames Shovel Company. Nationally-known architect H.H. Richardson designed many of the current Easton landmarks, including the Oakes Ames Memorial Hall, the Ames Free Library, and the Old Colony Railroad Station (which now houses the Historical Society). The Easton community has carefully preserved these buildings and many other Easton properties as part of the proud heritage of the Town. Conservation is an important Easton town project, with the Conservation Commission and the National Resources Trust purchasing farms, pastures, and other acreage, totaling 15% of the Easton community, for dedicated conservation land.

Easton is also the home of Stonehill College, and state-owned Borderland State Park. There are many industrial parks and shopping areas in Easton along Routes 138, 123, and 106 and Easton has easy access to Route 24 at Exit 17A.

Through the years, Easton has diversified from it's industrial heritage, and is predominantly now an upscale residential community with an abundance of high-end new construction. The Easton residents are proud of their school systems, environmental preservation, cultural opportunities, and historical landmarks, and feel Easton has unparalleled amenities. There are also 2 Easton golf courses, the Easton Country Club, a tennis club, a driving range, town pools, and a children's museum. Easton is part of the Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical school district, for those students wishing to participate in a more technical education.

Easton is a town with a great variety of condominium complexes, unlike the surrounding towns that have very few or none. There are a few multi-family homes for sale (mainly older homes that have been converted to 2 or 3 families), but most of them are quickly bought by investors since Easton has Stonehill College which offers them a never-ending pool of tenants. Easton house lots are rare finds, as most Easton builders creating new home subdivisions will not sell lots separately.

If you want a "hometown" feel, with the cultural and business amenities of the city, and the easy commute to Boston, Cape Cod, or Rhode Island, Easton may be just the perfect location for you!

The average Easton single family home price is about $380,000, with current price ranges of available Easton homes from about $250,000 to $1 million+. Easton housing types available include single family homes, townhouses and condominiums.
